Who is Christel?

I write about cool tampons, sanitary towels, panty liners and about a sustainable initiative, taboos and women. The perfect combination for someone who is girly-girly and a bit feminist and loves good, sustainable and colorful/green stories. I am Christel, 22 years old and the new content & creative trainee at Yoni!

Create a buzz

Since June I have been creating content for Yoni and thinking (creatively) about spreading the story. What do I do? I create a ‘how to create a buzz around Yoni’ document to spread the story abroad. And every day I throw out a few Yoni tweets on Twitter . Why? To turn a story that is not talked about much into a cool topic of conversation!

Why Yoni?

In April I started a Content Creation course via BSSA and De Upstarter . A combination of studying and a traineeship at Yoni. I have known Yoni for a while, am a big fan of Yoni’s Instagram account  and during the course I was taught by Ine and Sanne , who made The Cycle Series and Willa Stoutenbeek who does the communication for Yoni with W.Green  .

I am not a mega exaggerated feminist (although every woman should be a feminist), but I do love to bring women together or to see more women in ‘men’s places’. For example, last year I went on a solo trip to Guatemala, where I volunteered at a sustainable textile and weaving cooperative  for women. The macho culture of men and the position of women made a big impression on me in Central America. Which is why I now have a strong feeling to bring women together, through Yoni and through the blog C.Wants that I am setting up.
