Yoni krijgt B Corp-keurmerk
Yoni is officially certified as a B Corporation . With this, we join a global movement of companies that want to be the best for the world.
A bloody revolution
Wendelien Hebly and Mariah Mansvelt Beck believe that women have the right to know what their most intimate products are made of. That is why they started Yoni in 2014. With tampons, sanitary towels and panty liners made of organic cotton, we offer a conscious choice on the regular shelf. Conscious, because Yoni, unlike other brands, reveals the ingredients on the packaging and because the products are a healthy choice for women and the environment. Mariah, while opening a bottle of champagne: ‘At Yoni we try to make every choice, from collaboration partner to office, as good as possible. In this way, we try to set up and expand our company in a sustainable way.’
Certification
The B Corp certificate is awarded by the independent foundation B Lab®. This is done by means of an online impact assessment. Yoni scores well in the category ‘environment’ because we only use organic cotton. In contrast to the plastic that is in many regular tampon and sanitary towel brands, this is biodegradable. In addition, no harmful pesticides are used in the cultivation of organic cotton. Yoni also scores well in the customer category because our products promote the well-being of women.
B Corporation
B Corp was founded in 2006 in America. Under the motto ‘Using business as a force for good’, the organization unites impact-driven companies all over the world. There are now more than 2200 B Corporations spread across more than 50 countries, including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Dopper and Tony’s Chocolonely.
