Our Yoni Promise

At Yoni, we’re here to create a safe, supportive space for female care, for every stage of life. For too long, conversations around women’s bodies have been filled with discomfort, confusion, or silence. We’re changing that. By building a range of care you can trust and challenging the taboos surrounding women’s health, we offer an ever-growing range of Chemical Free Period Care, Sensitive Bladder Care, and an educational platform designed to help us all learn a little bit more. No matter what type of care you may need, comfort comes first, physically and mentally. Everything we do is to encourage you to be kind to your body- because you deserve nothing but the absolute best.

Our founder’s story: By Mariah Mansvelt Beck

It was never my intention to start a period care company, but everything changed when it was found that I was developing cervical cancer. I started looking into what we put into, and close to, our bodies every month and found plastic, synthetics and more.

With the goal to make period care as honest and sustainable as possible, I started Yoni in 2015 – and now can’t imagine it having gone any other way. I hope that by opening up to new ideas about menstruation and vaginal wellbeing we can make periods a little kinder for everyone who has them, and the planet we live on.

What we do to make a change

Together against period poverty

Period products aren’t a luxury item, they are a necessity. Everyone should have access to products, education and facilities necessary for a safe period. We currently work together with the Dutch Poverty Foundation, Armoedefonds, providing products regularly. If you want to go the extra mile you can also consider donating directly through our Pay for a Period programme.

End the stigma, end the shame

The taboo around menstruation has a huge impact on people who menstruate. Not only does it affect mental health, shame and stigma can prevent people from being able to go to school or work. Through our collaborations with schools and workplaces we hope to contribute to creating more safe menstrual environments. Interested in having your workplace or school provide Yoni? Business as a force for good

There are many different ways to run a business. We intend to use our business as a force for good. Not only do we want our products to have a positive impact on the lives of our users, we also want to ensure that everyone in our supply chain is treated fairly and we work as sustainable as possible. Our products are certified organic cotton according to the Global Organic Textile Standards, certified by the SOIL Asscociation. In 2018 Yoni became a B Corp. B Corp challenges us to look beyond our product and to make sustainable and healthy decisions in everything ranging from the type of coffee we drink at the office to how we treat each other while doing business.
