Are Yoni tampons biodegradable? +

Yes, Yoni tampons are biodegradable. You can throw them on the compost heap because they are made from 100% organic cotton. The wrapping is made from cellulose, a biodegradable material as well.

How do I know what size Yoni product I need? In other words, how can I compare absorption with the products I use now? +

On all of Yoni product packaging you will find a number of droplets. These droplets stand for the absorbency of the product and are industry standard. This makes it easy to compare products! For example if you are now using a tampon or pad with 3 droplets, then you can best switch to a Yoni product with 3 droplets as well.

Can I flush Yoni tampons or pads? +

Yoni tampons and pads are biodegradable but we do not recommend flushing them as all tampons and pads can cause blockages in your plumbing or septic systems.

Where is the organic cotton produced? +

Where our organic cotton is sourced differs per batch of tampons and pads. We can trace the source via the batch number found on each box of Yoni product. All sources have been certified by the SOIL Association according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Ok firstly, my preferred method for period soakage is a pad; I like to flow freely and not feel a foreign object in my body. Whenever I would wear a tampon it just didn’t feel 100% comfortable – I know why: gross chemicals were present in my body. So I’m going about my life, reaching for the typical period brands on the shelf when BAM, I visit my sister who works for Yoni and have my period. She practically has a Yoni store in her bathroom set up for any bloody beings passing through. I pop in a tampon for the day and…..feel nothing. Absolutely nothing. Heaven! A whole new world! I couldn’t believe it! I couldn’t stop saying it! It was so comfortable, I never leaked, the string is in a loop so it’s easier to pull out. And then I wore the pads at night and a panty liner and again the experience was transformative; so soft and lovely for my beautiful crotch. Bonus info: they’re better for my body, they’re better for the environment, they’re woman owned and ran. It’s truly all pros with this brand, the only con is it’s slightly more expensive but for that feeling of care and comfort it’s so worth it. 10/10 would recommend to a friend and anybody listening!
